Happy Tails

Since it opened in August of 2012, Before the Bridge has rescued nearly 400 dogs. There have been countless pickups, vet visits, fundraisers, and adoption fairs. There are long days and sad days, but no days better than the ones where a sweet senior dog finds their forever home and family. Here are just a few of our dogs with a “happy tail” to tell.

Meet GERTRUDE, a 12 year old Dachshund. She is spayed & up to date with her shots. Gertrude is hard of hearing and has limited eyesight, but her foster mom is working on hand signals with her. She LOVES treats and cuddles! Due to her limited sight, she cannot do stairs. Gertrude is house trained but does not ask to go out, so you need to watch for her signals to put her out. It is recommended that she not be placed in a home with younger children. She is good with dogs and cats.
