Looking to adopt a rescue dog in Winnipeg or Manitoba? Before the Bridge helps dogs of all ages find safe, loving forever homes, with a special focus on senior dogs.

Every rescue dog has a unique personality, history, and set of needs. Before adopting, we encourage families to consider the dog’s breed, age, temperament, energy level, and care requirements to ensure they are the right fit for your home and lifestyle.

Our Manitoba dog adoption process is designed to create lasting matches between rescue dogs and their new families. Prospective adopters will be asked questions about their home, lifestyle, experience, and expectations. Before the Bridge reserves the right to decline an application if we feel the placement is not the best fit for the dog.

BBSK9R’s adoption fees included the dog’s spay/neuter plus vaccinations (distemper, parvovirus, and rabies) and deworming.

BBSK9R’s adoptions are not finalized until the adoption application has been submitted, accepted, and a home visit has been conducted.

BBSK9R’s adoptions have a two week trial period, where if for any reason the dog is not a good fit for your family, the dog is returned to BBSK9R and the adoption fee (minus a $25 administration fee) is refunded.
