Happy Tails

Since it opened in August of 2012, Before the Bridge has rescued more than 500 dogs. There have been countless pickups, vet visits, fundraisers, and adoption fairs. There are long days and sad days, but no days better than the ones where a sweet senior dog finds their forever home and family. Here are just a few of our dogs with a “happy tail” to tell.

Meet SIMBA a very young American Eskimo/Spitz at 2 years 10 months old who comes from a sad beginning for such a young dog. His first owners abused him then moved and left him to fend for himself . His second owners relinquished him as their neighbours were abusing him and shot him with a beebe gun . He is safe now. Simba has been neutered and is up to date with vacinnes. He is a work in progress in the house training department. As his foster mom says, thank heavens for belly bands.
