Happy Tails

Since it opened in August of 2012, Before the Bridge has rescued more than 500 dogs. There have been countless pickups, vet visits, fundraisers, and adoption fairs. There are long days and sad days, but no days better than the ones where a sweet senior dog finds their forever home and family. Here are just a few of ourĀ dogs with a “happy tail” to tell.

Meet LIGHTENING (written by his foster dad(: Lightning is very lovey, good at home loose, feels safe in a fenced yard. Is blind in one eye and bumps into anything, but he loves his walks, a bit willy nilly will heel around cars, can't see where they are. He dislikes water flushing or sprinkling, likes brushing now. Seems to chew his stuffy only nothing in the house. Very well behaved while cooking or vacuuming. A good boy. Lightening is thought to be 10 yeas old. He is now up to date with his shots and neutered. He tested positive for heartworm and has started treatment.
