Happy Tails

Since it opened in August of 2012, Before the Bridge has rescued more than 500 dogs. There have been countless pickups, vet visits, fundraisers, and adoption fairs. There are long days and sad days, but no days better than the ones where a sweet senior dog finds their forever home and family. Here are just a few of ourĀ dogs with a “happy tail” to tell.

Meet BLUE IVY is a American Bulldog Mix who is thought to be 7 or 8 years old. She was found wondering in a Walmart parking lot and taken to a shelter. No one came for her. She is very sweet and gets along with other dogs. She came in with pain meds for her back knees. Will visit our vet to see what that is all about. She is spayed and up to date with vaccinations. She is a big girl, but has such a gentle soul.

Things here are good with me. I like to go outside do my business and run right back in. The 2 other dogs that live here are a bit snobby. I just ignore them when they curl their lips at me. I have 3 big beds to choose from because they don't want to sleep beside me. I think I'm being tested. I have to sit before I get my bowl or a treat. I'm catching on. I was perfectly calm while eating a treat and getting a head snoot rub down. I've barked once just so everyone knows I have a voice.
