Before the Bridge Yard Sale Raises $2,454.50 for Dogs in Need
Our community yard sale raised an incredible $2,454.50 to support veterinary care, rehabilitation and rescue for senior and special-needs dogs in Winnipeg and across Manitoba.
Our recent Before the Bridge yard sale was a huge success, raising an incredible $2,454.50 to support dogs in need.
As a Manitoba-based dog rescue serving Winnipeg and surrounding communities, every fundraiser makes a meaningful difference in our ability to provide veterinary care, rehabilitation and support to the dogs who come into our rescue.
After weeks of planning, gathering donations, organizing, advertising and preparing, seeing so many people come out to support Before the Bridge made all that work worthwhile.

Our Community Helped Raise $2,454.50
Thanks to everyone who attended, shopped, donated, purchased baked goods, grabbed a cold drink, shared our fundraiser online or simply stopped by to support the rescue.
Together, you helped us raise a grand total of:
“$2,454.50”
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making the event such a success.
Of course, the dogs also did their part. Charles and Dreamy were busy charming visitors at the kissing booth and helping remind everyone exactly who the fundraiser was for.

What Does $2,454.50 Mean for a Dog Rescue?

While $2,454.50 is an amazing fundraising total, it also helps put the cost of animal rescue into perspective.
For Before the Bridge, that amount can be roughly equivalent to the veterinary costs associated with caring for one average rescue dog.
Depending on the needs of each dog, expenses can include:
- Veterinary examinations and diagnostics
- Bloodwork
- Vaccinations
- Dental procedures
- Medications
- Spay or neuter procedures
- Grooming and rehabilitation
- Emergency veterinary treatment
- Specialized medical care or surgery
Some dogs arrive needing relatively routine care, while others require extensive medical treatment before they can begin the next chapter of their lives.
That is why every donation, fundraiser and act of support matters.
Every Dollar Helps Us Say Yes to Another Dog

Before the Bridge is a 100% volunteer-operated registered charity dedicated to giving overlooked dogs a second chance at safe, loving homes.
The money raised through events like our yard sale goes directly toward helping us continue that work.
For many rescue dogs, the journey to a new home begins with veterinary treatment, proper nutrition, grooming, rehabilitation and time in a loving foster environment. Those costs can add up quickly, particularly when a dog arrives with unexpected medical concerns.
Community support allows us to continue saying yes when another dog needs help.
Thank You for Supporting Before the Bridge

To everyone who volunteered, donated items, baked treats, shared our posts, invited friends or stopped by the yard sale: thank you.
You helped turn one day of shopping, laughter, dogs and more than a few Charles kisses into something much bigger.
You helped provide care for dogs who may otherwise have nowhere else to turn.
Before the Bridge could not continue its work without the generosity of our supporters throughout Winnipeg, Manitoba and the surrounding communities.
We are incredibly grateful to have such a compassionate community behind us.
Help Us Continue Saving Dogs in Manitoba
The yard sale may be over, but the need for rescue support continues year-round.
Whether you donate, foster, adopt, volunteer, attend a fundraiser or simply share one of our dogs with your friends and family, you are helping Before the Bridge continue giving dogs a second chance.
Thank you for showing up for the dogs.
And after all that yard sale excitement, there is only one thing left to do:
“Go give your own dog an extra kiss from us.”
Help Us Continue Saving Senior Dogs in Manitoba
Every donation, fundraiser and act of support helps Before the Bridge provide veterinary care, foster homes and a second chance to senior and special-needs dogs who have nowhere else to turn.
